With the ATR-72 from Azul, Cabo Frio will again operate commercial passenger flights

Azul Linhas Aéreas has made the tickets for the new flights between Cabo Frio on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte (airline hub) and Rio de Janeiro available on its website since yesterday (17). The flights will begin on December 14th and will be operated on ATR-72 aircraft that can carry 70 passengers.

Flights were suspended during the pandemic earlier this year, and travelers in the lake region have been disconnected from the air since then.

On the route BH – Cabo Frio there are two daily flights and another six times a week (except Saturdays). The connection is particularly important as it connects the important coastal region of the state of Rio de Janeiro with one of the main Azul hubs in Brazil, from which connections for all of Brazil and internationally depart.

The company will also resume its connection to Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro with flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In addition to easy mobility with the state capital, where many companies in the oil and gas sector are headquartered in the Cabo Frio region, a quick connection to São Paulo is also possible.
