Two new Cessna Caravan planes arrive at for the firefighters of Minas Gerais, Brazil

The first Cessna Caravan C208EX, PS-SES, related to the Department of Health, arrived from the Cessna plant in Kansas to land at Pampulha Airport. With a range of 1,670 km without interruption and a capacity for nine passengers, this caravan will replace the PP-ITY, an older C208B rented from Azul Conecta (ex Two Txi Areo).

The PP-ITY has indeed been an aircraft with a long history in Brazil since it arrived for Itapemirim Linhas Areas in 1996, then flew through TAM and is now owned by Azul. To further increase the capacity of the Minas Gerais firefighters, another C208EX with PS-SUS registration is on its way to Brazil and should arrive in a few hours. Both aircraft are painted with the company’s paint, the same goes for the Airbus H125 Aeschylus and the H145

The fleet of the Air Operations Battalion (BOA) of the Minas Gerais fire brigade consists of 5 helicopters, 4 AS-350 Esquilo helicopters and 1 Airbus H-145 and 2 Grand Cavan Cessna C208s. (Javier Bonilla)
