The Spanish Army (ET) has already defined what the new Nuclear, Biological, Chemical and Radiological (NBQR) reconnaissance vehicle it will need to provide its units with an instant intervention capacity to locate and detect different types of threats of this specific type Character.

The new platform, which is expected to be integrated soon and from which we will be on the III. Forum 2E + I Fuerza 35 will be based on the highly mobile Uro VAMTAC tactical vehicle and both serve as replacements for those currently used in the regiment. NBC No. 1 from Valencia, a combination of light VAMTACs with specially modified armored BMR-600M1 vehicles to provide this specific capacity to the combat groups that emerge in future brigades after applying the Force 2035 concept.

Taking into account the fact that in the future we will work with hypotheses formulated in conflicts between several forms and areas in which there will be no rear guard and a certain technological surprise on the part of the attacker is checked, a number of resources are provided that enable preparation for a future war environment in which technologies such as genetics, three-dimensional printing, robotics, etc. enable the creation of new modified agents that are immune to known antidotes. Furthermore, it is clear that the tactical nuclear threat posed by emerging powers or terrorist groups is a reality to consider.

In order to be able to act in these scenarios, the ET works in an NBQR defense based on operations involving their own combatants, special forces and knowledge management and acting efficiently against the threat as it is a threat more part of the fight. The detectors will be carried by the soldiers and they will get into the vehicles to know where the threat is coming from. At the brigade level, there will be special units that identify and almost confirm, and also deal with issues of received data management and decontamination. The collective protection of command and control elements and certain infrastructures will be just as fundamental as the deployment of technical utilization teams together with the action teams for special operations.

At the material level, the emphasis is on introducing decontamination agents that are able to work in large areas and in the infrastructure, depending on the mission carried out, having special suits for the immediate protection of the combatant and receiving the VAMTAC equipped with sensors Modular units intended for special forces in the procurement of UAVs and medium-sized and small UGV robots that contain sensors to detect threats, all with the aim of using current technologies, relying on new technologies and incorporating future technologies, The work that is integrated into an interconnected command and control system benefits the work of the CBRN struggle.
