The Thales company awards grants to five final year students of telecommunications engineering to gain access to the telecommunications engineering master’s degree from the regional university. Two of the grants are being requested for the current academic year 2020/2021 and initially three for 2021/2022.
The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) and the high-tech company Thales have signed an agreement to award 5 scholarships that will allow students with the final year of the degree in telecommunications technology to access the master’s degree in telecommunications engineering from the University.
This collaboration, signed on the basis of the framework agreement between the two institutions in relation to their Thales Diversity Program, will subsidize the total cost of tuition fees for these students. Two of the grants are being requested for the current academic year 2020/2021 and initially three for 2021/2022.
These grants will be developed in parallel with programs promoting gender diversity and the inclusion of women in engineering to create facilities for their convergence within these type of calls where files and financial resources predominate.
Likewise, the framework agreement welcomes the regular and funded visits by the final year students to the Thales innovation center, the production and maintenance center and the experimental room of the defense and security companies in Madrid to get to know the laboratories of this company, the exhibition and sample of the implanted technologies as prototypes and designs for the future.
