Second ATR-72 TMPA of anti-submarine defense for Turkey

In 2012, the Turkish Navy signed the MELTEM III contract with the Italian factory Leonardo for the purchase of six ATR72 aircraft configured for anti-submarine combat. Contractor Leonardo and various Turkish companies have manufactured this maritime patrol aircraft, which has the Link 11 and Link 16 systems developed by Milsoft, as well as the Havelsan Naval Patrol Land Station. Thales supplies the AMASCOS-300 mission management system and the Ocean Master 400 radar. The aircraft known in Turkish service as ATR-72-600 TMPA can carry a load of weapons on two fuselage masts, including Mark 54 light torpedoes Mark 46 Mod 5.
