Navantia San Fernando lays the keel of the fourth corvette for the Saudi Arabian Navy, which is called JAZAN

The previous day at the Navantia shipyard in San Fernando the keel-laying ceremony for the fourth corvette, which was built for the Saudi Arabian Navy (RSNF), took place. Block 101 of this ship was built in collaboration with the Baha de Cdiz Shipyard business unit in the Puerto Real shipyard

The internal event started at 8:30 in the morning and went smoothly in Stage 3. Among others, the director of the Baha de Cdiz shipyard, Javier Herrador; the director of the Navantia program, Vicente Martnez Caridad; and Captain Abdullah Alshehri, Director of the Saudi Program Office. With today’s keel laying (block 101) the construction of the penultimate ship in this program begins. In this case it is C549 and is called JAZAN. It should be noted that this block in Navantia Puerto Real was built as a result of the collaboration between both shipyards of the Baha de Cdiz Shipyard business unit in this program. The module was transferred to the San Fernando shipyard last weekend.

At the same time, on the parallel level of the San Fernando shipyard, there is the third corvette, named HAIL, whose construction status is very advanced and which is expected to be launched on the market in the coming months.
