The new Boeing F-15EX fighter made its first flight at St. Louis / Lambert International Airport and took another step for the delivery of 2 aircraft to the USAF which, thanks to the latest advanced combat management systems, sensors and weapons, incorporate the cell’s digital design and the architecture of their mission topics. Modern F-15 variants have electrical flight controls, a fully digital cockpit, a modern AESA radar and the fastest mission computer in the world, the ADCP-II. The F-15EX is the most advanced version and incorporates the Eagle Passive / Active Alert Electronic Warfare system to improve operator effectiveness and survivability. In July, USAF placed an order with Boeing to build 8 units and it is expected that 144 units will be available for purchase.
