CT strengthens its presence in the marine sector with the acquisition of Mer Forte-Noticias

CT, an international engineering and software services group based in Spain, is making a major qualitative leap in its international expansion: It acquires Mer Forte, a French marine engineering and design company founded by Michel Desjoyeaux and Denis Juhel with more than 10 years of experience in marine and competition. Skills that complement CT’s and strengthen its position as a market leader, where more than 200 naval engineers design all types of civil and military vessels.

CT thus covers the entire life cycle of a ship from conception to final delivery to the customer and, thanks to the integration of PLM solutions, manages the digital transformation of its customers. The CT Group is a Platinum Partner and Value Added Distributor (VAR) in Iberia for Dassault Systmes solutions, which it has been selling for 30 years, including CATIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

It is this long relationship with Dassault Systmes that leads CT to approach this new phase in the French market with great enthusiasm: Mer Forte has been the VAR of Dassault Systmes solutions for the marine and offshore sector in France since 2016 with extensive experience including on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. When we are part of the CT group, we can accompany larger customers and offer them a larger number of services. We will also give them the assurance that we have the resources and means of a company the size of CT, says Denis Juhel, CEO of Mer Forte.

With this acquisition, CT strengthens its presence in France and continues to support the mission with which it was born in 1988: to offer technological and innovative solutions. More than 30 years later, with 1,800 engineers, it is the largest Spanish-based group of companies for engineering services and a leader in technological innovation.
