Azul announced the preliminary traffic results for October 2020 today (11/05).

Consolidated passenger traffic (RPK) increased 41.0% from September 2020 compared to a 42.6% capacity growth (ASK), resulting in a 79.3% occupancy rate. The domestic occupancy was 80.7% and the international occupancy 65.3%.

The comparison relates to the previous month of September.

“The recovery in domestic demand in Brazil remains one of the fastest in the world. São Paulo is in the “green” phase of its COVID-19 response plan and with the arrival of summer we are entering the high season months for national travel. We are seeing strong demand for our domestic flights and are sticking to our network strategy as we are the only airline on more than 70% of the routes we fly. We are optimistic about how the recovery will play out in the coming months, ”said John Rodgerson, CEO of Azul.
