Another 25 Iveco trucks for the Spanish Marine Corps

The Director of Economic Management of the Navy’s Logistics Support Headquarters has hired Iveco Spain to deliver another 25 SUVs worth EUR 2.3 million. In particular, 10 TN 6×6 and 15 TN 8×8 trucks were ordered, which were included in the framework agreement that the company awarded in 2015 and which includes more than 700 trucks to be delivered over a period of six years.

The information available does not indicate whether the trucks are conventional or the 6×6 is one that has been modified with the Unprepared Fording Kit (VSP) developed by the company in accordance with the requirements of the Marine Corps, which allows the use of trucks ab enables amphibious ships to land.

Let’s remember that in 2017 the Navy commissioned Iveco to develop an amphibious configuration for their 10-ton transport vehicles. This is the Iveco M250 40W, the characteristics of which we analyzed in 2019 on the occasion of the tests and the first acquisitions. (Jos M Navarro Garca)
