In order to meet the great demand for professional certification in civil aviation and to start another campaign of the Voo Simples program, the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has announced the expansion of the test benches from 13 to 40 Brazilian cities. With a total of 49 test rooms that will be open from October this year to February 2021, the expansion of the services will be carried out in cooperation with the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
The contract with FGV is also part of the third phase of the reopening of ANAC’s test rooms, which were closed from March to August due to the new coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the 49 planned rooms and the 40 cities that are served, FGV can offer further tasting rooms in all federal units as required. During the initial planning, the location of the civil aviation training centers and the FGV test centers as well as the demand from the individual locations were taken into account. All 49 test rooms should be active by February 2021.
From October 19, 2020, the FGV will open the registration for theoretical exams in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) in Campo Grande (MS) and in Belém, Pará (PA), which currently do not have an open test bench. The ANAC test rooms currently open will be discontinued in each city as long as the services offered by FGV are fully operational.
